Designing for the next generation: how S. Group is shaping education spaces that inspire
Schools are so much more than classrooms. They’re places that nurture growth, spark curiosity, and shape the way students learn and connect. At S. Group, we’ve been privileged to work alongside forward-thinking schools across Tasmania and Victoria, helping them realise their vision for education through creating purposeful, future-focused spaces.
We’ve delivered over $150M worth of educational projects, and we’re just getting started! Here’s a look at some of the transformative education sector work we’ve been privileged to be part of.

Victory Christian College, Strathdale
Our 10+ year partnership with Victory Christian College in Bendigo has been a true collaboration – one that spans architecture, master planning and even brand strategy. With significant enrolment growth on the horizon, we helped craft a 20-year facilities master plan that’s already brought $10M of capital works to life. From their Senior Hub and Gymnasium, to a new science and arts precinct now in design development, we’ve created spaces that are not just functional, but reflect the college’s unique values and vision. We’ve also led enrolment campaigns and marketing strategy, ensuring growth is supported from every angle.

Devonport Christian School
From a small-scale admin refurbishment in 2015 to an ambitious expansion into secondary education today, our journey with Devonport Christian School has been one of shared vision and strategic growth. The recent JILOA Centre, STEM facility and updated campus entry have all contributed to a $6.5M evolution over the past decade. Now, with General Learning Areas under construction and a new secondary campus approaching planning approval, we’re proud to keep shaping spaces that reflect the school’s mission and momentum.

Newstead Christian School
What started as a feasibility study became a transformational master plan. We helped Newstead Christian School consolidate two campuses into one, with a staged rollout of capital works designed to minimise disruption while maximising outcomes. The result? New administration facilities, a junior school building, and refurbished primary classrooms, all delivered with community input, stakeholder engagement, and future growth in mind.

Leighland Christian School
Working across both their Ulverstone and Burnie campuses, our relationship with Leighland Christian School has seen the delivery of a strategic master plan, a multi-purpose music facility, STEM centre, new GLAs, and major site improvements. From car parks to drop-off zones, we’ve taken a holistic approach to design and delivery. The outcome? Over $3.5M in capital works that support the school’s goal to offer modern, adaptable learning environments.

Circular Head Christian School
This is one of those projects where function meets community. Our design for a new home economics and workshop building added more than just facilities; it created a hub for connection. From a flexible teaching kitchen to an expansive woodworking space, every element supports learning while offering spaces that are already well-loved by the school community.

Building futures, not just facilities
From long-term master planning to beautifully resolved learning environments, our experienced S. Group team brings a deep understanding of how good design supports pedagogy, community and wellbeing. With decades of experience and a multi-disciplinary team spanning architecture, interiors, project delivery and branding, we partner with schools to create spaces that go beyond “nice buildings” – we help build futures.
Whether you're reimagining your current facilities or dreaming up a new campus, let’s chat – because education deserves spaces that inspire wonder.
