S&S House crowned king

To say we're proud as hell is the understatement of the century...

This stunning piece of architecture designed by our very own Tim Fry and built by Davies Construction, has been crowned 'House of the Year' at the HIA Housing Awards!

Yep. You heard us right. Officially the sexiest, most legendary house crafted in the whole state.

According to Rick Sassin, Director of the HIA: 'The meticulous attention to detail makes this stunning and luxurious home a worthy winner'. We agree!

Tim, reflecting on the process added: ‘The scheme for the home was heavily influenced by the constraints of the site. Creating something to meet the needs of a busy family presented its challenges both for us and for the builder. Large volumes and changes in level add a certain sophistication to the experience of the home.’

He also added a massive shoutout to the legends over at Davies Construction, saying ‘The construction of the building has been executed exquisitely in every aspect, no compromise has been made by Davies Construction or the owners in making sure that the finished product is right.’

It's the second time this ripper has brought home gold, having won a Master Builders Tasmania Award for excellence earlier in the year.

It had challenging angles and cantilevered spaces. It was bold. It was demanding. But at S. that’s just what we do. Chase. Wonder.
