The Thirty-Three House

Contemporary, tasteful and bold, the design response for this project centres on the procession of entry into the home from the street level.

Theatrically drawing the user in, the architecture pulls you through a series of raw, brutal concrete look boxes into a light-filled, warm family home. Warm, rich finishes internally give way to stepped levels, voids and alternating ceiling heights, giving the architecture a sense of playfulness and dynamism.

Despite this playfulness, the design is highly considered and somewhat mature in its relationship to the surrounding context and considerable natural slope. The architectural design team were thrilled to collaborate with the interior design team to thoughtfully complete the home.
