Recently we had the pleasure of working with Forico, Tasmania's largest private forestry management company. They focus on developing high quality, innovative and sustainable plantation forestry practices.
The brief for their new HQ, in Kings Meadows, Launceston, was based around their values of quality, sustainability and people.
They wanted to create a healthy workspace that would inspire their employees to grow and produce their best work. With this in mind, the office contains two wings, with lots of large windows and natural light, centred on a communal courtyard for staff to enjoy.
The building was also designed to showcase captivating views of Ben Lomond from the board room, so international visitors could get a taste for the incredible natural Tasmanian environment and why Forico work to sustain it.
Their philosophy for sustainability extended into the materials used for the interior and exterior of the design, with sustainable plantation timber and plywood veneer being key.
